6 Easy Home Remedies for Tanned Hands

Summer sun affects skin and makes it look dull and dry. Hands are among the parts of the body that are most exposed to sun and get the harsh treatment. To get rid of tanning, people are opting for harsh methods and most of them are full of side-effects. Still there are some remedies that help you with no side effect.

  1. Yogurt and Turmeric. Mix together a bowl of yogurt and a teaspoon of turmeric powder. Apply it on your hands and keep it on for 20 minutes.
  2. Soak hands in lemon juice and keep them there for 20 minutes. Vitamin C protects your skin cells from the UV rays, just remember to moisturize your skin after the procedure so as to prevent your skin from getting really dry.
  3. Aloe vera. It is worth keeping a plant of aloe vera and getting a leaf to apply it on your hands when you want to get rid of the tan. Leave overnight and wash off in the morning. The gel consists of antioxidants that protect the cells and remove the tan.
  4. Cucumber paste. Cucumber is famous for calming down irritated skin. Take a cup of cucumber juice and add a few drops of lemon juice to it. Mix it with turmeric powder and make a paste out of it. Leave it on for half an hour and then rinse off.
  5. Almond paste. Take a few almonds and let them soak overnight. Blend the almonds with milk and make a paste. Apply the paste overnight on the affected area and wash it off in the following morning. Almonds are rich in vitamins and riboflavin which protects the skin and improves its health.
  6. Sandalwood and turmeric powder. Take a few teaspoons of sandalwood and turmeric powder and mix them together. Add a few drops of rose water. Mix together and apply on for 30 minutes.
