Tips To Make Waxing Less Painful

Removing unwanted hair from the body is one of the most painful beauty treatments we, women, are obeying. But if you learn to use some tricks, you can significantly reduce the pain. Here’s what to try if you doing waxing by yourself, at home:

Exfoliate your body intensely

Short or partially grown hairs can be difficult to be waxed, no matter how efficient it is the wax you use. And every time you try to wax these hairs, you will feel pain without the hair being snatched away. Exfoliation is the solution to this problem. Removes the dead skin cells from the surface of the skin and pulls the very short hair to the surface.

The shower is mandatory

Hot water opens the pores, which helps to snap the hairs easily. A hot shower before epilation will certainly decrease pain intensity.

Massage the skin

A massage on the area that will be waxed, will diminish the pain because it stimulates blood circulation and reduces the unpleasant “surprise” effect your skin will face in the first few moments. Massage delicately, but without using an oil or massage lotion because it hurts the hair and  be difficult to squeeze it.

Use ice compresses

After epilation, an effective pain reduction method is the immediate application of an ice compress or a towel soaked in cold water. Low temperature will reduce skin inflammation, redness and will reduce pores. Don’t apply a body lotion or cream immediately after epilation because the skin is now more sensitive to the irritating ingredients from them, which accentuates the feeling of fatigue. Instead, use a natural oil such as olive, avocado, almonds oil, etc.
