How many of us respect a ritual for skin care before we go to the gym? It’s good to know that if you don’t keep in mind some extra important hygiene rules for skin before and after you exercise, you risk to get serious infections of the skin.
To be good looking from head to toe it’s not enough to keep a diet and make sport. Adopt in your lifestyle these simple rules of hygiene for skin and your efforts will not be in vain. Your body will be slim and toned and your skin will glow, looking healthy and rejuvenated. Keep in mind these tips and your skin will thank you.
- Take a shower with warm water after workout
Hot water is perfect to clean the skin, because it opens closed pores. Unfortunately, it dries the skin. After exercise, take a shower with warm water, neither too hot, neither too cold, and don’t forget to apply a moisturizing lotion to nourish the skin.
- Whatever the season, apply skin creams with SPF
Use these kind of products no matter the season. Sun’s ultraviolet rays are active also by winter, and they can affect the skin. Moreover, sun’s heat and cold air dries and crack the skin, so it needs protection.
- Wash your face after workout
Immediately after you have finished exercising, wash your face. Open pores and sweat attract bacteria that can infect the skin.
- Clean your mobile phone
If you use your phone while exercise, for listening to music or using an application, make sure you clean it when you get home. Sweat will hit the mobile area, the bacteria will spread and your skin, especially in the cheeks and ears, will suffer.
- Don’t use make-up while exercise
Make-up will combine with sweat and it will affect the pores of the skin, causing acne and aggressive blackheads, difficult to remove.
