Because of its anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties, baking soda is great at drying out skin and getting you relief from itching and swelling that come with skin rashes. Add coconut oil to baking soda and apply the paste for about 5 minutes for a soothing effect.
  3. Treat yeast infections. Candida fungus or other yeast infections that breed in the mouth, intestinal tract, throat or the genitals are easily treated with a drink made out of a teaspoon of baking soda mixed with a glass of water. Consume it daily for 10-15 days. If the infection is on your skin, apply a paste of baking soda with water and let it sink for 2-4 minutes before washing it off.
  4. Use baking soda as a remedy for sunburns. Baking soda has a cooling effect for sunburnt skin. Mix a teaspoon of it with cold water and apply on the affected area.
  5. If you want to remove skin tan, use it with confidence. Make a paste out of water, vinegar and baking soda and apply the paste a few times per week.
